About The CEO, & Publisher
Dorothelia Barnett was born in Hartford, Connecticut, but attended elementary, junior high and high school in North Carolina while residing with family.
She had a long history of working in the legal field, but knew at an early age that she would be a writer and entrepreneur someday. In 1995 Dorothelia attended the Hartford College for Woman in Hartford, Connecticut where she received a certificate in business.
In 2000 Dorothelia decided to combine her experiences with motherhood and passion for children to open a daycare center for children between 2 and 12. In her early 40’s she went back to school and earned her Child Development Associates Certification (CDA) in Early Childhood Education.
In 2007 she was inspired to begin writing again and created her very first magazine. After relocating to Jamaica in 2008 to open up a “basic school” for children ages 2-5, she religiously wrote about her daily life.
While in Jamaica, Dorothelia wrote an article for a major spa magazine, along with the “Independent Caribbean Online News Network.” She did many interviews with well-known Jamaican celebrities.
After returning to the United States several years later, Dorothelia’s quest to design a refreshing online magazine for women 40 & over was joyfully birthed and published in 2011-- Beautifully Inspired Women’s Magazine For Women 40 & Over.
